Madava Farms is located in the picturesque Hudson Valley in the US federal state of New York. It is a 300-hectare site on which Crown Maple produces its incomparably delicious maple syrup . After agriculture on the former farmland came to a standstill after the American Civil War, an astonishingly large number of maple trees grew on the site. Robb Turner, founder of Crown Maple, bought the land in 2007 for himself and his wife for vacation purposes and was amazed when neighbors informed him that the area contained around 20,000 maple trees. The former banker decided on the spot to get into maple syrup production – thanks to his intensive study of the subject, the syrup first produced by Crown Maple in 2011 is now considered to be the highest quality maple syrup in the world .

Crown Maple produces its syrup using the patented reverse osmosis process - a special production technique in which around 80% of the water content is removed from the maple sap and impurities are filtered out. Depending on when it is harvested, maple syrup has a bright, light golden to strong, dark brown color. Crown Maple syrup is available in the flavors Amber, Dark and Very Dark as well as in variations with vanilla, cinnamon, apple wood smoke and as Bourbon Barrel Aged (limited edition). Each flavor has its own characteristic note. Crown Maple products are now used in numerous New York Michelin-starred restaurants to refine dishes and desserts.
