There are wonderful antique malls in rural America. They are usually entire barns or warehouses, conveniently located on the interstates. If you are traveling the country and have a little time, you should definitely stop and browse. Everything from household goods, old signs, furniture to fashion from different eras can be seen there. Collectors come by regularly to find valuable Coca-Cola accessories, for example. There is also a lot to see and buy and you feel like you have been transported back to old times - almost like a living history lesson. Retro, diner or vintage style accessories are fantastic souvenirs, if they still fit in your suitcase.
