Summertime is travel time again and this year, New England is on the agenda for many America lovers. One of our own popular destinations is of course Stonewall Kitchen in Maine, as we, as the exclusive importer for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and recently Denmark, always take a look at the production and range.
If you drive north from Boston on the beautiful Route 1, you will arrive in the small town of York just over the state border in Maine. Right at the entrance to the town is the busy Stonewall Kitchen headquarters with a beautifully decorated shop to browse (including unusual decorative items and great kitchen accessories) and a popular New England cafe. There are many of the Stonewall Kitchen specialties to try and great delicacies on the menu.
If you have a little more time, you can book one of the many cooking courses in the cooking school, which is often fully booked, especially in summer. Topics such as "Fresh off the Grill" or "Fun with Lobster" show two important kitchen trends. The courses for the next few weeks can be viewed and booked online. You can also look through a window into the bottling process. Many busy hands ensure that the popular jams and barbecue sauces from Stonewall Kitchen also be properly labeled and packaged. It's really worth a visit!
